Postdoctoral positions are available at the Department of Radiation Oncology, University of Michigan for a recent Ph.D graduate (0-3 years post Ph.D) in biochemistry/molecular biology/cell biology or related fields. The candidates will be using mouse knockout/KI models to elucidate the role and mechanism of CRL (Cullin-RING Ligase), mTOR and p53 pathways in tumorigenesis of lung, prostate and pancreas. The candidate will also have an opportunity to study the mechanism of cancer cell killing induced by a small molecule inhibitor of CRL. The candidate will be working in a scientifically stimulating environment.
Extensive knowledge in cancer biology, particularly mTOR and p53 pathways, and protein ubiquitination and degradation with high levels of self-motivation is required. Previous experience with mouse genetic models and mouse histopathology is preferred. Interested individuals should visit SUN lab websites and forward a copy of their CV to Dr. Yi Sun at sunyi@umich.edu
